Donald Loose RLS
Don Loose is not quite a native Tucsonan but he has lived in the Old Pueblo since the age of five months. Don loves everything related to the Tucson lifestyle with and all of its history and beauty not to mention the fact that he is a diehard Wildcat fan.
Don attended the University of Arizona from 1970-1977. Having grown up in Tucson, he especially finds it rewarding to be able to revisit old friendships from his school days and enjoys remembering how Tucson was back in the 50’s and 60’s. He raised three children in Tucson and is a proud grandfather of five grandchildren, two living in Las Vegas and three living in the Los Angeles area. In 2001, Don and his beautiful wife, MaryAnn, moved to Los Angeles to be closer to their children and the couple have maintained residences in both cities since that time.
Don has been a licensed surveyor in Arizona since August, 1989. He has owned a number of survey companies in both Southern Arizona and Los Angeles, California. Don is an avid outdoors person and among his favorite things to do is to hike trails within any of the mountain ranges surrounding Tucson or ride a bike on the River Walk.
Bruce Loose RA
With over 35 years of experience in the Architectural and Construction industry, Bruce Loose has worked on projects throughout the United States. Most recently, he is involved in the day to day operations of managing a survey business.
Bruce, a Tucson native, graduated from the University of Arizona College of Architecture in 1979 and was the recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Award for Architectural Design Excellence. He is a Registered Architect in Arizona.
As Project Manager at Alta Land Survey, Bruce is involved in managing the survey projects, from initial client contact to delivery of the Record of Survey. He excels in being responsive to his client’s needs and requirements.
Bruce enjoys spending time with his family and two very active Beagles, “the Boys”. He is a huge U of A fan and can be found at many college games, but not with the dogs! Go CATS!!
Genny Martin RLS
Genny Martin is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Arizona since 2002. Genny is involved in all stages of the business’s projects, from the first client meeting to the delivery of the final product.
Genny’s passion is striving to meet, and exceed, the customer’s needs and expectations. Understanding land surveying services can be a confusing and mystifying process, but her goal is to provide them in a way that is as stress-free as possible.
As the Technical Services Manager, Genny makes sure that all of Alta’s services are of the highest quality possible, from data collected in the field to CAD drafting procedures and products to maintaining the latest in geotechnical equipment and techniques.
Genny grew up in southern Arizona and truly enjoys the wide open desert, the stony peaks, the warm western feel. Even the “dry heat!”
Steve Sample RLS
Steve Sample is a Licensed Surveyor in Arizona, California and Nevada. He has over 40 years of experience as a land surveyor and has been a crew chief since 1978. Steve was born and lived in San Diego and Los Angeles Counties but grew up in Death Valley, CA where his parents owned the hotel and store.
Steve has lived and worked in Arizona since 1982. Currently he lives in Warren, Arizona. As the Head Surveyor for Alta, Steve is in responsible charge of all field work in Cochise County. Though he might be reluctant to admit it, over the years he has become an expert in performing Bisbee boundary surveys, a job skill which few other surveyors possess. Steve likes to ride his Harley on weekends and is also very interested in four wheel driving and has even owned a rock crawler vehicle.
J D Reyes, RLS
John David (J.D.) Reyes, RLS, is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Arizona. His land surveying career began before he decided to be a land surveyor. In the summer of 1990, he attended the Engineering Aid course at the Naval Training Center in Gulf Port, Mississippi. The course covered surveying, drafting and soils testing. He served in the USNR (SEABEES) from 1990 to 1995. After a couple years of college, having taken classes including Surveying, Calculus and Drafting, he decided to become a Surveyor.
JD started his career at Arrow Land Surveying. He was there over 10 years from May, 1994 through October, 2004. He then made a move to Castro Engineering. He obtained his RLS the day before he started. He was there for a year, when he decided to go back to a smaller surveying company, Polaris Land Surveying. He was there over 10 years from October, 2005 to December 2016.
JD has been a partner with Alta Land Survey, Inc. since February, 2016.
JD is a 5th generation Tucsonan. He is married and has 5 children. He has managed Little League Baseball 15 years (American LL, Copper Hills LL). He has also been a Youth Football Assistant Coach for 4 years (Tucson Redskin, Sahuarita 49ers), and a Calvary Tucson Volunteer for 20 years. He loves the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Dodgers and anything UofA Wildcat!
