Hopeful Sight!

I took some pictures of a display that the employees made during construction of an expansion of their business. What a hopeful sight. I saw this in front of Mesquite Valley Growers (8005 E. Speedway) and thought it was so clever and apropos! One hardly ever sees a business that goes beyond their usual sphere and recognizes what goes on … Read More

Lady in Black

This picture shows one of our surveyors in a remote area in the Harshaw Mountains, south of Patagonia. In a very remote area. The surveyor is holding a placard up for photo identification of a panel point for an aerial survey. Notice the object in black behind him? Mining Marble in Cochise County

Alta Land Survey did an interesting survey recently in the Dos Cabeza Mountains above Fort Bowie in Arizona.  The site is above 7000 feet elevation. The miners are cutting out chunks of Marble as big as a car.  And exporting to Italy for processing and sale in Europe.

Texas Canyon in the Fall…or anytime!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of the place.   We recently had a couple of surveys to conduct in the area, so it was the perfect opportunity to take some pictures and enjoy the rock formations and huge boulders just “lying around” and looking incredible.
